Watched this at MBO, KSL Johor Bahru. Wasn't intended to see this. Went to the cinema wanting to see Marrying Mr. Perfect - Chapman To and Gigi Leung etc. but was told not screening there. This was the next best option.
Overall, OK.

These are but some of the things that goes through my life. Nothing great. Nothing special. But just little things that happens as I sailed through the remaining years of my life...

What I like of this movie?

The first time I saw this guy was in the Singapore TV, then Singapore Broadcasting Corporation (SBC), daily Mandarin variety program at Channel 8. He was just a 'Ke-Le-Fay' (extra) on the Monday show (if not mistaken) together with Mark Lee (李国煌), where the host for the evening was Jack Neo and Moses Lim. I remember him best as the guard standing next to the magistrate in ancient Chinese courtroom (衙門), shouting one line dialog. Certainly not the man for any leading role in any movie. Not only he lacks on look, but his acting sucks too. But he hanged on to Jack Neo, and lucky stars seems to shine on him and Neo. Jack Neo had moved on to become today, probably, the biggest name in Singapore movie making.
The second Oscar nominated movie for Best Picture to watch.
Every year, when the Oscar nominees were announced, I usually found those movies unfamiliar, especially in the Best Picture Category. For this year nominees, only two ie. Slumdog Millionaire and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button were screened in local cinema. With Slumdog recent win at the Golden Globe and BAFTA, and a favourite at the Oscar, I was determined to catch this favourite piece.
The plot is acceptable. Fann Wong is lousy. The supporting roles by Alice Lau and Charles 'Blackie' Chen are commendable. A movie to showcase Christopher Lee body and boost his popularity. Daniel Tan is hopeless as an actor. Dubbing his dialogue may probably help a bit. The ending is happy and predictable.
I have always like Steve Martin. And he doesn't disappoint me here. I don't recall watching the first one. But I love this. I love the supporting cast too. Never mind that the crime was solve rather easily. But the whole acting really tickles me.
I have never being a fan of Sandra Ng, but I like her in this movie. The career woman look goes well with me. My favourite scene is where she works overnight to prepare her book, and appear with the fake moustache line.
Part 2 of John Woo's epic. Better than the first part.
Firstly, the 'Back to the Future' really does not click with me. A futuristic space craft crashing into ancient Norway. Seems odd to me.
I have always been a Yes Man at work. Though I am not the big boss, but I do have many people below me and the word that I dread most to hear from them is NO. I believe most, if not all, bosses will share that sentiment. Therefore I am always a Yes Man.
